Translation in the formal sense deals with human language, the most common yet most complex and hallowed of human functions. Language is what makes us who we are. Language can work miracles. Language can kill, and language can heal. Transmitting meaning from one language to another brings people together, helps them share each other's culture, benefit from each other's experience, and makes them aware of how much they have in common.

Translating is a challenge that requires skill, training and experience. A translator has to have complete command of his or her native language, must be capable of transforming a text linguistically, technically and idiomatically into another language and has to have a certain familiarity with the subject to be translated. Precision and tempo are extremely important. A translator has to be reliable, meet deadlines and work as a team-player who is interested in creating the best possible product for the client.
